I am very excited to finally share with you some of my favorite photographs from Ryan & Kamila's beach wedding on Anna Maria Island, Florida!
This blog post is a little late because I had to keep it under wraps for very exciting reasons (which I'll explain later in this post!) I've been chomping at the bit to write about this wedding! I have to say, this fun-loving couple was a hoot!
Kamila & Ryan's family members came from far and wide, including Orlando, Chicago, New York, even Poland! I always marvel that a side benefit, if you will, to weddings is that they turn into the best family reunions. Elegant family reunions, where everyone is dressed to the nines to honor and celebrate the love of this couple, and a sacred family event. Add to that the presence of the couple's nearest and dearest friends, along with island breezes and salty air, and it's truly the best day!
Ryan and Kamila's family and friends converged throughout the week to occupy two beach houses on Anna Maria Island. One house was in Bradenton Beach, the other in Holmes Beach, just a couple minutes away from each other. Anna Maria Island, in Manatee County, is a barrier island located on the crystal blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. It's a dream wedding destination! (In fact, it was named a "Dream Town" by Coastal Living Magazine!) It's truly paradise!)
Immediately upon arrival at the beach house where the gals were getting ready, I felt the electricity of excitement. After months of planning, the day was finally here! Kamila didn't allow her bridesmaids to see her dress until she was completely ready, and we staged a first look for them. Fun!
The guys' beach house had a decidedly Key West feel to it. Ryan and his groomsmen, dad and soon-to-be father-in-law goofed off .. a lot ... and there was lots of laughter and good-natured ribbing.
The ceremony took place a short drive from the respective beach houses, at the Gulf Drive Cafe and Kokonut Hut, on the south end of the island. This laid-back venue overlooks the Gulf of Mexico with its sugar-white sand and turquoise waters. It's known for being the perfect place to watch the sunset. The ceremony and reception were both planned, coordinated and catered flawlessly by The Sunset by Gulf Drive Café.
The day ended with some romantic sunset portraits on the beach, followed by dancing late into the night.
Congratulations, Kamila and Ryan! Thank you so much for the honor of allowing me to capture your big day. Here are a few of my favorite images. Enjoy!
And now an exciting announcement!
I'm so honored to announce that the below image from Kamila and Ryan's wedding was included in the Winter/Spring 2019 issue of Modern Luxury Weddings! (Somebody pinch me!) Now Kamila and Ryan can continue to celebrate their special day months later!
