I was delighted when I was asked to donate a photography session to this year’s Easterseals A Pair to Remember Tampa auction event. I’ve been Jackie Zumba’s family photographer for a while, and when she approached me requesting that I donate a photography session to the silent auction, I jumped at the chance to be a part of this unique annual event.
From the Easterseals website: “Raise your bid paddles for the hottest designer shoes and unique experiences to support children and families challenged by disabilities in our community. Toast the latest spring fashions at this exclusive ladies’ luncheon featuring a Designer Fashion Show by Jackie Z Style Co, with headlining brand CAMILLA.”
Well, the auction was a big success! In fact, in Jackie’s inaugural year as Chair, a record-breaking $158,000 was raised for Easterseals Florida! I feel honored to be even a small part of such an event. (To learn more about Easterseals and how you can help, check out the website here. )
Soon after the event, I was contacted by the Oversby family, who had won the photography session at the auction! We decided to meet in a little tropical corner of downtown St. Pete to capture three generations of family, who had traveled from Michigan and the UK to spend time together in the sunshine city.
As soon as I met this friendly family, I immediately felt like I’d known them for years. They laughed a lot, smiled a lot, and genuinely enjoyed being in each others’ company. It didn’t take much on my part to create some beautiful photographs.
Here are a few of my favorites!
